Dental Implants in Vaughan

A dental implant replaces a missing tooth from the root up: a small titanium post that fuses with your jawbone, topped with a custom crown that looks, feels and chews like your own tooth. It is the closest modern dentistry comes to growing a tooth back.

Built to be permanent
Unlike a bridge or denture, an implant stands on its own root. No grinding down healthy neighbours, no adhesives, no taking it out at night.
Protects your jaw
When a tooth goes missing, the bone beneath it starts to shrink. An implant keeps that bone working, which keeps your bite and your face shape intact.
Eat everything again
Implants restore close to full chewing power. Corn on the cob, apples, steak. Patients tell us this is the part that changes their life.

How implants work

An implant has three parts: a titanium post that acts as the root, a connector called an abutment, and the visible crown. Over a few months the post fuses with your jawbone. A process called osseointegration, which is why an implant feels solid in a way nothing removable ever can.

Candidacy comes down to healthy gums and enough bone to hold the post, which is exactly what we assess at your consultation. Age matters far less than people assume. We place implants for patients in their twenties and their eighties. If bone has receded, grafting can often rebuild it.

An implant may be right for you if
You have a missing tooth, or one that can't be saved
A denture or bridge no longer fits or feels right
You avoid chewing on one side of your mouth
You hide your smile in photos because of a gap
You want a fix you don't have to think about again

Your journey, visit by visit

1
VISIT 01
Consultation & imaging
We examine the site, take detailed X-rays and map your bone. You leave with a clear plan and a written cost before anything is decided.
2
VISIT 02
Placement
The post is placed under full local anesthetic. A gentler appointment than most people expect. Most patients are back to work the next day.
3
HEALING
Fusion (2–4 months)
The post quietly fuses with your bone. You live life as normal, with a temporary tooth if the gap shows when you smile.

VISIT 03
Your new tooth
Your custom crown is fitted, matched to your natural shade, and the bite fine-tuned. Brush and floss like it has always been there.

Cost & coverage, in plain language

Many insurance plans cover part of this treatment, and we bill them directly so you only pay the difference. You get a written quote before you decide anything, and flexible monthly payment plans can spread the rest. You will know the price before you say yes to anything.

Your questions, answered honestly

The area is fully numbed and most patients say the placement felt easier than a filling. Expect mild soreness for a day or two afterwards. The kind regular over-the-counter pain relief handles comfortably.
The titanium post routinely lasts a lifetime with normal brushing, flossing and checkups. The crown on top typically lasts 10–15 years before it may need replacing, the same as any crown.
A single implant with its crown generally runs a few thousand dollars, and the honest answer depends on your bone, the tooth's position and whether grafting is needed. That's why we put your exact number in writing at the consultation, before you commit to anything.
Many private plans cover a portion of implant treatment, and coverage under CDCP depends on your situation and plan year. Bring your card to the consult. We check your exact coverage and bill the plan directly before treatment starts.
Almost certainly not. Healthy gums and adequate bone matter far more than age. We've placed implants for patients well into their eighties. The consultation tells us everything we need to know.
Bone does shrink over time, but that rarely closes the door. Bone grafting can rebuild the site in many cases, and we'll show you exactly what's possible on your X-rays.
