Wisdom Teeth Removal in Vaughan

Wisdom teeth arrive last and often out of room, pushing sideways or trapping food where brushes cannot reach. When they crowd, ache or infect, gentle removal is usually the kindest option, and we make it as calm and uneventful as a procedure can be.

Relief that lasts
Recurring pain and gum infections around a wisdom tooth rarely fix themselves. Removal ends the cycle for good.
Protects the rest
An impacted wisdom tooth can press on its neighbour, causing decay and crowding. Taking it out protects the teeth you keep.
Calmer than you think
Full local anesthetic, unhurried technique and sedation options for anxious patients. Most people say the dread was worse than the visit.

When wisdom teeth need to go

Not every wisdom tooth needs removal. If it is healthy, upright and cleanable, we happily leave it alone. Trouble starts when a tooth is impacted: angled into its neighbour, trapped half-erupted under a flap of gum, or buried in a way that traps bacteria. Those situations produce pain, swelling and repeat infections.

A panoramic X-ray shows the whole picture in seconds: root shape, nerve position and exactly how each tooth sits. From there the recommendation is honest. Remove the troublemakers, watch the harmless ones. Removals are done under full local anesthetic, with sedation available if nerves run high.

Signs your wisdom teeth need attention
Pain or swelling at the back of the jaw
A tooth erupting at an angle or only partway
Repeated gum infections around a back tooth
Food constantly trapping behind your last molar
Pressure or crowding you can feel building

Soft foods and rest for a few days. We check in, and we are one phone call away if anything feels off.

Cost & coverage, in plain language

Many insurance plans cover part of this treatment, and we bill them directly so you only pay the difference. You get a written quote before you decide anything, and flexible monthly payment plans can spread the rest. You will know the price before you say yes to anything.

Your questions, answered honestly

No. We only recommend removing teeth that are causing trouble or clearly headed for it. Healthy, well-positioned wisdom teeth get left in peace.
Most people are back to school or work in two to three days, with soft foods for about a week. Complex removals can take a little longer, and we tell you beforehand.
The area is fully frozen either way, so you feel pressure but not pain. If you are anxious, ask about sedation options at your assessment.
It is a healing hiccup where the blood clot dislodges from the socket. Skip straws, smoking and vigorous rinsing for the first few days and your odds drop dramatically. Your aftercare sheet covers it all.
Cost depends on how the tooth sits, from simple to surgical. Most insurance plans and CDCP cover extractions, and we confirm your exact coverage and quote before booking the removal.
Late teens to mid-twenties is ideal, while roots are short and bone is forgiving. But removal is done safely at any age when a tooth is causing problems.
